The process of making this artwork come to life involved a lot of my childhood memories. My current artwork reflects my childhood memories when I was in primary school I love bubble gum and cant live without it. As crazy as that sounds its true. Its helped me through some very tough times in my life and makes me feel confident when I chew it. Bubble gum is actually made from tree gum. In the late 1840s, John Curtis developed the first commercial spruce tree gum by boiling resin, then cutting it into strips that were coated in cornstarch to prevent them from sticking together. I found this memories to be inspirational, leading me to produce artworks where bubble gum were adopted as my subject matter
